FAA issues AC for Pilot Certification and Operations for Sport Pilots, Flight Instructors with a Sport Pilot Rating, and Simplified Flight Controls

This advisory circular (AC) provides guidance on the changes to Title 14 of the Code of Federal
Regulations (14 CFR) part 61 concerning sport pilot certification, training, and operations in
accordance with the Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification (MOSAIC) final rule
regulatory amendments. MOSAIC also facilitates the new simplified flight controls designation
