China gets World’s First Electric Water Vertiport

China’s eVTOL maker Autoflight launched the world’s first electric water vertiport for electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft or eVTOLs last weekend, a
fter delivering the world’s first eVTOL aircraft exceeding one-ton capacity that holds all three essential airworthiness certifications earlier this year. “We wanted to extend the vertical infrastructure from land to the water area, such as river, lake, or even the near-shore sea area.” said Xie Jia, Senior Vice President of Autoflight Aviation Technology. What that means, is a more flexible application scenario for the small aircraft. “It’s solving a world problem.” Scott Severen, President of Light Aircraft Manufacturers Association made the comment during the launching ceremony.
