Welcome, Kitplanes for Africa!

Founded in 1993, Kitplanes for Africa (KFA) commenced production of the Bushbaby aircraft, which quickly gained recognition as a reliable Bushplane in the Microlight and Light Sport Aircraft category. In 2003, KFA introduced the Explorer, an upgraded version of the Bushbaby. The Explorer featured improvements in the tail area, as well as a larger engine capable of accommodating the 135hp KFA turbo engine. Due to its popularity, KFA introduced a third model in 2008 called the Safari, boasting a maximum takeoff weight of up to 750kg (Experimental) but limited to 600kg in the LSA (Light Sport Aircraft) category, powered by a Rotax 912 ULS engine.
